We are three siblings and all participate in a variety of sports. We have experienced several injuries while playing sports. Some of the injuries have been significant and could have been avoided with the correct protective gear. We have also witnessed many avoidable head and facial injuries in baseball in particular, that also could have been avoided.

 

Following a facial injury one of us suffered we all decided to wear facial protection while fielding and pitching in baseball and softball.

 

Over time we realized that the facial protection available did not work well with our hats which leaned against the top rim of the face shield at an upward angle. The hat would fly off when we ran and looked awkward. Some of the products were very heavy and most of the products were not suited to baseball.

 

We reached a point of not wanting to wear the face shield because of these issues. We decided to re-design the gear to solve the problems that we experienced. HedZ-Up solves all the problems we encountered and also redefines head and facial protection in fielding and pitching  in baseball and softball, as well as in bowling, fielding and wicket keeping in cricket. Our concepts are patent pending in the USA and Internationally. 

 

Our mission is to protect athletes while preserving the tradition of wearing a hat and having the team logo clearly visible.
